Default White Smoke?

How are you all doing?
I wish I could say great to that question, however my 2003 PT Cruiser is acting up on me.
There is white smoke coming from the left side of the hood, almost perfectly opposite of the battery in terms of location. I know nothing about cars, but I changed the oil yesterday and that did not seem to work.
I assure you, its smoke and not steam because I smell a burnt repulsive odor.
The smoke blows through the A/C vents in the car and it quite visible.
Yes, the coolant levels are okay.
Yes, the oil is okay.
What could this be? Thank you!

Yes, the smoke is NOT sweet.
Its more of a burnt wood, or have you ever burnt bread in the toaster? It smells that wretched.

Any noise, like a belt squeal?
Have you opened the hood and looked to see where smoke could be coming from?

How long has it been smoking?
Does it only smoke when it gets hot or does it do it all the time?
Do you have an engine light on?

No belt squeal at all.
I start the engine and it runs normal then a sudden drop in sound (more of a lower engine sound than previously) and then starts smoking.

It started smoking yesterday and then I drove it to school no problem this morning and it was only on the way home after school did it start smoking again.
A 5 minute drive at most wouldn't cause such heating issues, especially when coolant is full would it?
No engine light.

As for the under the hood glance. I don't know what part its coming from but its coming from the left region of under the car if you're looking at it facing the car head on.
There are no leak marks, or drips coming from the vehicle so I really don't know :/

This is where the smoke is supposedly originating.
This general vicinity anyways.

You're looking down at exhaust manifold.
