Question Always something...

So, I go and do the right thing in being proactive and get the timing belt changed. How does fate reward me? By having my right side windows quit working.

Thanks to this forum though, I was able to make a best guess that the problem lies with the switch in the dashboard. I've also determined that it isn't simply some corrosion on the switch. They're squeaky clean.

Now, I've started shopping around. I found one at O'Reilly's (part # WST936) for $186.99. Ouch!

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to shop for a new switch?

As always, TIA!

eBay had loads of them from $20 to $75

Type in "PT Cruiser front window switch" to see the whole list.

Cool Re: Always something...

Post a good photo of the tag on the side of the switch, with exact part #.
Some of us have extra switches sitting around.
I have one that was lighted up for me.

The cheapest I found on eBay for my style was in the $160 range!

Here's some pics of the label on the switch.

If they are a bit too blurry, it reads:

(P) 0XC471L8AB
Rev. A
0554 30505L

(T) 3005540218

(All "0" are "zero"; there are no letter "O".)

And, just for good measure, here is a pic of the front of the gray switch, with the toggles removed.

Thanks again!
