Poor running

Searching for help my 2002 is running poor. Shakes and stutters and have replaced EGR, plugs&wires, cam sensor, ECM (due to code set). This is intermittent and I'm at a loss. Timing belt replaced @112k and now have 180k. :(:(

Re: Poor running

Engine light come on? If so what are the engine codes?
Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Have you checked the vacuum hose going to the brake power booster? Does it get worse when you step on the brakes?
Does it only shake at an idle or also at high speeds?
Was there any indication of this gradually getting worse over time?
Have you done a cylinder compression check lately?
Have you checked your fuel pressure?
A fuel pump may work to start the engine but may be worn to the point that it can no longer supply volume. Even checking the psi could normally rule it out. But if you run a flow volume check over 30 seconds you can see if the fuel pump is failing. I would suggest doing this after checking checking for vacuum leaks.

Re: Poor running

If this is at idle , check motor mounts if the upper and lower is "ripped" it can cause a bad vibration that will show up at idle. Just a thought:D

This problem has gotten worse over time, and no I have not checked for vacuum leaks yet.
The running problem is intermittent some times it runs good and others it is rough at idle and no power on acceleration.

Re: Poor running

Ok. Im new to this and maybe doing it wrong. I have an 01 touring w/67,000. The other day i took it to get an oil change. Two days later it started knockin like it was running hot but it wasnt. Checked the oil and the level was fine but once it warms up it starts back knockin and rattling like its hot again. Can some one please help. Also i have loss of power when running the ac. When i take off i have to turn the ac off to pick up speed and then back on. Also terrible gas mileage when running ac. Any help would be appreciated. Thx...

When they changed your engine oil did they put 5-30 in it?
