Default oil pressure switch 06 basic non turbo

What is the best way to replace the oil pressure switch. Does not look like there is any room for my fat fingers?

A deepwell socket it is like an 1" and a 16" remove plug (move little red tab to release) even with a deepwell socket a short extension may help. I replaced mine because I had an intermittent oil light coming on in morning first start "Bing" shut off engine restart no light just a little annoying ...No problems since I replaced the switch.

Thanks, but I know the easy part. How do you get to it and what do you remove if anything to get access. Searching the web anywhere from taking out the axle to only removing a bolt to wire bracket from underneath??

Should have told you remove air box, the switch is located on back left side of the block . With an inspection mirror and a flashlight you can see it clearly. You probably will have to go by feel more than sight as I did ,you can really only reach it from the top from the bottom the frame crossmember and axle half shafts block you from getting to it .The Haynes manual shows pictures and the R&R .

oil pressure switch 1 me 0

Attempted to replace the switch. Removed the airbox and moved the TIMP.
The shift cables are definitely in the way and tried to remove them. Can't get the spring clip off, any ideas? No place for leverage don't want to break anything. Going to look for right angle needle nose pliers maybe that will help??

to remove my shift cable clips i put a vise grip on the edge of the clip and tapped the vise grips with a hammer. once it's off a bit you can get a flathead in the opening of the clip's U shape.

I'm sure there is a car out there you have to do that! Was watching a vid the other day the guy was changing knock sensor in a Chevy. Had to take the intake off, what a job! KNOCK SENSOR 3hr, 5 min job. What is this world coming toooooooo!

I will try the vise grips and whatever other tool I can find. Also looks like the red part of the clip will be fun at that angle as well.
