Default Radio problems

Hi all :-)
I recently had the ignition switch replaced on my 2003 Cruiser (the mechanical one).
When the car was fixed, I lost the use of my radio. It doesn't have any power going to it with the key in the ignition. I found though that if you push the key in a little further and turn a tiny bit, the power comes back on and it's asking for the code (which I don't have).
Any suggestions on how to fix my radio? I have a 3 hour drive coming up in 2 weeks and I need my music!
Thanks in advance!

We don't have/need the radio code here in the U.S. Here are some older threads talking about the code that you need. Maybe one of them will help. The last one is a site that has a UK link to click on. There you will enter the serial number of your radio so you can enter it on a form and retrieve your radio code.

lost radio code

radio code

Mopar radio security code.

All I can say about that is that the ignition switch itself might be to blame or if you have too many objects on your key ring, it might be pulling on the key. Try using just the one ignition key itself and see if that helps.
