Default Thermostat replacement housing; HOSE?

In another thread I replaced the thermostat among other things

What I CANNOT LOCATE is the hose that connects to the thermostat housing right below the cap; fluid is leaking out. WHERE does that hose GO TO ANYWAY? I threw nothing out when I did this job ;-(

Does this mean the thermostat is NOT the source of the inconsistent overheat issue?

I'd appreciate some type illustration; I looked on line and did NOT get a hit on exactly what I was looking for ;-( I am neither lazy or stupid; my search skills are pretty good...

Everything being equal the car runs fine; no bucking; no sputtering; no smell of antifreeze from the tail pipe; no blu smoke or clouds emanating from the tail pipe either

Joe

YES I found it by dumb luck earlier today.

It APPEARS that my cooling fan is shot

I ran the car in front of the house with the AC on...according to most here after about 30 sec it should kick in.

NADA

What I will do is get a NEW fan and replace the two (?) relays in front

Thanks for your efforts

Joe

You most likely dont need relays. That hos has to fit snug or you will suck air into the system.
