Im planing to us chrysler town n country drag axle and wamted the engine amd trans but wanted standard trans and I know the only dodge car awd is better known as stealth .... my question is will stealth trans adapt to the 3.8liter in town and country.

i believe it's safe to say the weird mitsu motors used by chrysler are different. maybe try a V6 mitsu motor/trans pulled from an intrepid instead?

then there's a little issue about the trans is on the driver side on the pt, caravan, etc....so the motor is likely turning the opposite direction, no?

There's barely room for the OEM 2.4L engine. And the engineers had to shoehorn it in there. The geometry of the engine compartment will likely not accommodate any readily available transverse V6 from a salvage car.

Somewhere, there is a long project thread with a guy that has installed a longitudinal (if that's the correct term) V6 in his PT. He might as well have built a car from scratch. The fabrication work looks extremely complex and difficult. There's other examples on the internet of HEMI V8 engines installed in PT Cruisers. Again, much time, money and expertise is required to do that. And since the PT Cruiser is no longer the "hot" car to modify, it is likely no longer financially viable to do this either.

Currently, as of June 2015, an enthusiast can often buy a PT Cruiser GT for around $3,000 or so. And since many performance parts are still available, the GT can be modded to perform as the owner desires. Under current conditions, this is likely to best and financially-sound route to spirited driving with a PT Cruiser. If you want to do more than that, it would likely be better to start with another type of car.

PS: The question asked by the OP in this thread is legitimate and should not be may fun of or ridiculed. We should encourage folks that are excited about their PT Cruisers and are interested in doing modifications. And since engine swaps are a viable option for increased performance in some cars, it's a fair question for PT owners to ask at the beginning of their journey.

The generally american engines spin counter clockwise. The Mitsu motor spins clockwise. Doesn't matter if it fits.
