Default Well, there's the problem...

Driving to to a friends house, at 65mph on a 4 lane hwy, the car just died. Luckily I had enough momentum to coast the remaining 1/2 mile(thanks to a small hill) into his driveway.

The car is a 2007 base 5spd with 124k miles, a former tow behind RV car.

No start condition... After a hilarious spark check( I didn't know he could jump that high), and fuel pump check(and many google pages later), we gently pulled back the timing cover to peek in...Busted belt.

That was last week, I left the car there My buddy is a shade tree mechanic and said he can fix it if I buy the parts and food for a BBQ once it's fixed.

Today I got these pics:

The only thing I'll have to do is vacuum the ac system and recharge, which I think I can handle.

that's a good friend .. the work he is doing deserves kobe beef steaks.....yeehaw... price ranges from 1000 up generally 1200 seems average from my research.. make sure he gets a pic of the timing marks and how it goes .. so he wont have to re do it like so many others...
