Question Heater Core

Has any one changed a heater core on a 2003 Clasic?

I had my 2002 done by the dealer. The entire dash has to come out all the way to the firewall. Because the ac evap is right next to the heater core, I decided to replace that as well.

I believe a few have done it themselves. Don't know if they'd attempt it again tho.

i started to, but then decided i'd rather junk the car. couldn't find one of the little tin speed nuts buried half way down behind the engine on the firewall so i just pulled. apparently that little stamped speed nut is stronger than the old brittle plastic. i broke the whole heater box assembly in half and i didn't pull very hard at all.

i guess i should have done it like this instead:

For a heater core leak I would use a block seal from bars leak. Will seal the leak but not plug Anthony that isn't plunged already. I would post a pic but computer is down.
