Default 2.4L Turbo lost power

A month ago I filled up the gas tank in my 2006 PT. After driving less than half a mile the engine suddenly started losing power. I pulled over. The car started alright; I then re- tightened the gas tank cap. Everything seems to be hunky dory since then. Could a loosely screwed gas tank cap have caused the problem or sould I be concerned about something else?

A loose gas cap causes an EVAP leak, if you drove it longer it probably would have made the check engine light come on. Shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Yes indeed. Make sure it clicks when you put it back on.

Do you top off the gas tank? Or just after the first click pull the nozzle out?

Man, it drives me nuts when I'm filling up and some clown on the pump on the other side keeps clicking the dang nozzle. Mine clicks, I round it to the nearest nickle and go. I don't want to damage my EVAP system if I can help it.

Around here 3 pumps down a jerk will be clicking it on and off and my gas hose will surge. I gotta start learning to stop the flow and have a click off and then keep clicking till they are totally done.

Reminds me I got a half tank, might be doing that today.
