Default New cruiser to me

I’m buying an 02 limited with automatic transmission about 65,000 miles.
It looks and drives like a new car. I have had an 05 turbo convertible for a number of years so I am generally familiar with PT cruisers.
I am just interested if there is anything special about the 02 model that would be worth checking that might not be the same as my 05 model. The underhood arrangement is a bit different, but is mostly familiar to me. I have checked and the radiator fan functions correctly with and without the A/C on.
I know it has a twelve year old timing belt even though it is low miles, and that it has a different timing tensioner than I am used to. I know it is approaching the mileage where the cam sensor will suddenly need to be replaced. I believe this has a different crank sensor location but so long as it’s working, that is probably not a real issue. I will service the transmission filter in the near future just to be safe and will replace the plug wires and spark plugs, also just to be safe. Is there anything else I should consider?

I would take out the spare tire retainer and grease the bolt with the hooks on it. A little lube spray around the crank sensor might help if the time comes that you have to remove it. Mine was on the front under the starter and was tough getting it out even after I removed the starter.

Check the wiring harness behind the passenger front tire...it is prone to rubbing on the axle causing electrical problems.
