Default About to by a PT

I am about to buy a PT Cruiser (will be my first 'own' car)
2005 make, 150000 km
CarProof is clean, photos look great
$4k + tax, 3 year powertrain ($1500 max per claim) included
I am a vintage-style fan, and my wife loves the looks and the color
Put it on hold till Saturday.

Please, tell me, why I should NOT do this :-D

Car looks pretty clean, with no emblems on rear hatch not sure what model it is....it's not a turbo. You need to find out if the timing belt & water pump have been replaced or not & when it was done (This could be why price dropped $1000).
$4000 seems a little high to me with 150k on it.

But like I've said in the past...a car is worth whatever the owner is willing to pay.
It's your choice, don't let anyone here scare you.

To me $3k is not too far off. I paid $3k for my 2006.

I'd peg the "street value" about CAD 3K as well. (If it was a turbo, then probably CAD 4K.)

But ya know, it's at a dealer, so you are paying a little more for convenience (and warranty, "FWIW"...)

** actually, I just noticed that is Toronto... so probably it won't last long at that price

[EDITED]

WAIT....I now see you are in Canada. I was about to offer you MY beautiful car for a similar price. It would still be worth the trip to Arkansas. But don't know how the customs thing would work.

Cool Re: About to by a PT

Must have had timing belt, tensioners, and water pump already done!
Otherwise, a breakdown waiting to happen!
