Default headlite bulb question

I have to replace my aftermarket headlites that previous owner installed. The adjusters do not work. After about an hour of trying to find and turn the adjusting screws i had enough and took off the bumper. Removed the headlites to find the stupid adjusting screws do absolutely nothing. Afer a very short visit to the local chrysler dealer and a minor stroke after hearing they want $450 each for new headlites i ordered a set off fee-bay. $79 for 2 + shipping.

Now i want to replace the bulbs. What does the XS mean for the bulb. Will there be a problem if not XS ?

the XS is the shape of the plug on the back of the bulb, regular bulbs are bent at a 90* angle, the XS is straight. This is for space consideration.
CREWZIN, boonie2 and Gkon like this.

Yep,

Here's the bulbs I got for mine. You can get these for around $30 a set on eBay. They are very bright and very white. I've had mine for almost a year and I just got a set for another car.

The fog lights use the 9006 bulb. But it uses the regular ones with the 90 degree plug instead of the straight plug XS type like the headlights. I believe you can use the XS style on the fog lights too. But without my PT with me at the moment, I cannot go check for you.

Here's a set of the Sylvania ZXE bulbs in the regular 9006 style. Ironically, the 9006XS version is cheaper.

Looks like today's exchange rate is 1.34. That would be about $50 Canadian if they ship to there. But hey, no body ever said that all that unspoiled wilderness and free health care didn't come with a price attached to it.

Here's the same add for Canadian eBay. Put in your zip code on the shipping page and see what the deal is.

PS: Just checked Toronto delivery for comparison. And Yep, $70 Canadian is a good total estimate. I feel your pain.
