Gas Mileage
I've been trying to see how good I can do for gas mileage, and today I made it up to 26.7 MPG. That's the best yet. I drive back and forth to work, 9 miles one way, part highway part city. I think that's pretty good for a Cruiser.

Good going! I wish mine was that good. I have a 2002 Touring model, however I drive 45 miles each way to and from work (all highway). I use just a hair over a quarter tank per day. I'll have to calculate that, but I don't think it's very good.

Well, I just 'go easy' on the gas. It is a 5-speed so that helps. The gas mileage not always this high, usually more down around 25.5-ish or so, if I'm 'in a hurry'.
My son has a 2002 Base Model with a 5-speed and he usually gets around 27 MPG. Although he recently had to put a timing belt in, and now says he gets around 25 MPG. Gkon likes this.

I get around 24 to 26 around town with my '03 5 speed, and when mostly on the highway I can get up to 33 with it. I'm currently driving about 80 miles round trip, 95% highway and it's right around 30.
