Question Sonic Sleuthing...

OK, the car has been in 4 different shops, and no mechanic has ever commented on this or brought it to my attention. INCLUDING last month when it was in the Stealership for a full 67-point inspection (where they did find $1000 worth of odd jobs they offered to do...)

When coming a red light, as soon as the brake is fully depressed and the car has come to a complete stop, I hear a sort of "rattle" coming from the general driver's side front area. Take the brake off and start moving, it disappears. Put the transmission into neutral - it disappears. Car is an automatic (turbo lite).

Absolutely no performance issues, the car drives perfectly. Just this mildly annoying quiet-to-moderate "clattering" sound when stopped.
Don't notice it with the radio on!

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Will try to get a decent audio recording next week...

I have a rattle in my front, but that's because there is an extra clamp sliding around on the metal part of the heater hose. I'm not going to pull off hose to remove it

Possibly the same thing that Chuzz just mentioned but there's a shield right behind the engine around the C02 sensor.

Cutoff wheel on a dreml tool will make easy work of that clamp.
