Default Electrical Problem

I recently bought a 2001 touring edition and noticed a few things while driving. First the radio rarely lights up but still works and second the doors will randomly lock and unlock whenever they please. I don't know if I need a new door lock switch and a new radio or what. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I would suggest you check the RKEM. The links below will help you in diagnosing your problem with the locking and unlocking issue.
The equipment that controls the doors is called the RKEM (Remote Keyless Entry Module) and is located in the center console above the air vents.

door locks locking/unlocking on their own!

Power locks locking/unlocking while driving?

FYI how I diagnosed and repaired dysfunctioning lift gate remote release

Transmitters can be programmed to the system by using the follow procedure:

1. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn the switch to the ON position.
2. Press and hold the Unlock button on the transmitter between four and ten seconds.
3. Continue to hold the unlock button and press the Panic button. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered.
4. Press a button on all transmitters to be programmed to the system, including any previously programmed transmitters. A chime will sound when each transmitter has been programmed.
5. Turn the ignition switch off to exit the transmitter programming mode."

If you buy one new or used with out fobs you will need to have programed. If you get one with at least one fob you can program more fobs yourself like above post. no dealer needed.
