Default Would you Pay $600 ($500-US) for a 2001 PT with 90k mi

I saw a 2001 PT for sale for sale for $1,000 offered him $500 and the car looks nice in the pics. It passed safety 4 months ago and had it's timing belt replaced last summer. The car was owned by the original owner as of 4 months ago. If I buy this I will sell my 2008 and use the 2001 as my service car vs the 2008

That's a good deal if the car doesn't have a lot wrong with it. Where I live, a 2001 PT in good condition is often worth about $2,000.

I just paid 300 for an 02 with 89k on it. I'd say go for it.

You are really the only one that can answer your own question without a lot more information that could fill several pages of this thread.

In the end it is all about what it is worth to you?

Looks like the seller bailed on me will not send me his address. I guess he is trying to squeeze a few more $$ from some one else. Nothing wrong with that if he comes back then my offer will go down by $100

PT Cruiser seem to be readily available at most any price range and condition here in Ca. Many are for sale every week listed on craigslist alone and even in a close town Roseville Ca about 10 minutes from my own house used car lots their are at least 8 or more always to be seen on the various dealer lots.

When I wanted a GT with color and options I wanted instead of a NA I found one in less then a couple hours looking on the internet.

I see a LOT of them for sale around here too. I've actually seen some pretty nice ones too. I don't stop and check any of them out, as I have no money for another vehicle. If I did, I'd probably stop. Except to look at the woody that's been on a lot for about 3 months now. It appears to be in very good shape, I just don't like the fake wood grain look.
