Default It's Baaaaaccccckkkk

Man, this GT is really starting to get under my skin. My son had a doctors appointment today and on the way home, the CEL came on. He let me know about 30 minutes after he got home. I took the scanner out and son of a *^^$#(. P0300 is back. I cleared the code, cranked it up and it's running just like always. Any more suggestions or do I just put it for sale/trade and find some other vehicles with headaches I'll have to fix?

i don't think i'd really care too much about a generic code like that if it ran fine.

I'm not overly concerned, Rob, but it's just like a mosquito. A minor irritation that just won't go away! I've not noticed and abnormalities in performance and the mpg's are the same, so I'm about ready to just say piss on it and keep driving it and when it trips the code again, just keep clearing it. I'm not an electrician, so I won't get too far into the electronics.

Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Possible Causes:
1.Air leak in the intake manifold, or in the EGR or EVAP system
2.Base engine mechanical fault that affects two or more cylinders
3.Erratic or interrupted CKP or CMP Sensor signals
4.Fuel delivery component fault that affects two or more cylinders (dirty or sticky fuel injectors)
5.Ignition system problem in two or more cylinders (Plugs or coil)
6.Vehicle driven with low fuel pressure or while very low on fuel

I would check for air leaks in the intake manifold.

Try a can of B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment and Injector Cleaner...
Can't hurt for $6 a can...put in the entire can , tank doesn't have to be full.

Well, I HAVE checked for vacuum leaks and can't find any. I've used fuel injector cleaner recently and apparently, it's had no effect. I usually use Techron, but grabbed some STP brand last time because I didn't have enough cash to get the Techron. Maybe I'll try the B-12 this week. Thanks for the suggestions. I MIGHT try to use a fuel pressure tester if the guys at O'Reilly will let me use it in the parking lot. I'll let y'all know later. Steve, do you know the recommended voltage readings for the CKP and CPS? I guess I could check that next since it doesn't cost anything.
