Default Horn

When I hit the horn, nothing happens most of the time, then the horn will honk on its own for the rest of my drive, gets to be annoying as hell (Funny) but annoying. Any suggestions what could be causing it?

It's possible that it is in the steering wheel. I've never had this happen in a Mopar vehicle. But it's very common in older GM rides.

If I remember right, the horn switch on the PT is inside the airbag and not serviceable. You could remove the airbag, unhook the horn wire and then ground it to something to see if the horn functions normally. If so, just get another airbag at a salvage yard.

...except about being non-serviceable. The connection could just be loose or corrosion is stopping it from making good contact.

You could add a alternate horn, At times I could not find the sweet spot on the horn cover fast enough. Adding a second horn has worked out well on my 002. Also it was easy install and inexpensive, The hardest part was deciding where to install horn button, didn't want o drill. decided to make a small bracket. anyway hope this helps.
