Default Problem with driver side window

I just purchased a 2006 base model pt cruiser. All windows worked when I bought it the other day. Now all of a sudden, the driver's side window doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure what's wrong with the window and why it would all of a sudden stop working and all the rest of the windows work perfectly.

Also, yesterday a battery light came on while I was driving it. It just stayed on.

Bad battery connections can give all sorts of problems...
Check your battery connections along with these 2 ground connects behind the air box.

Check your switch too. If you're getting power to it, then you can probably open the switch and clean the contacts. Sometimes it's the simple things that we overlook.

Thank you for responding. I have to sound clueless but how do I find out if the switch is getting power to it. Do I need to get a machine.

You need a test light. Turn the ignition switch to the start position, but don't crank it. Probe the wires in the switch and see if the light comes on. If it comes on, you have power, if not, then check for a broken wire or blown fuse. If those are okay, then it's most likely the switch. If you don't know how to use a test light, you need to take it to someone that does know.

I took it to a mechanic and he said I needed a window regulator. Problem solved.
