How can this be done?
Can someone identify where behind dash the noise maker device is located so that I might drill into it or something so that noise is stopped but no circuitry is affected If desired result is accomplished by pulling wire(s), any risk in doing so that other electric componentry will be affected? |

It might help if you elaborate a little more. What is it that's buzzing? Is it your door chime alarm for when you leave the key in the ignition or what? Be more specific.

it is located inside the gauge cluster.
i circled it for you. Capture.jpg photo courtesy of Handy_Cruiser read this before you start ripping needles off. The "Handy" GT Speedometer Cluster Upgrade if you can remove the back of the cluster enough to see where the buzzer is soldered on, you should be able to cut/scrape off the trace on the circuit board with an xacto knife. this would be much quicker than removing all the needles and desoldering it. if you decide it's worth murdering, you might post a "how-to" thread in the tech section to help others in the future Last edited by rob342; 14 Dec 2015 at 07:45 am. |
