Default Tail Light Problems

Hi everyone! I have an 08 PTC.

I went to change my right breaklight this morning because it was out. Changed the bulb, still won't go on. Is there anything I should check (like the fuses) before I bring it in to get looked at?

Thanks!

Have you checked for bad ground?

Have you checked for 12 volts?

You will need to get an voltmeter.

If you put your hazard lights on does the problem tail light come on?

When the hazards are on, the tail light is still off. I'm wondering if it's the socket maybe?

It could be the socket. BUT are you sure you used the correct # replacement bulb? If the bulb is right, did you make sure it locked in? Most of the bulbs have a high nub and low nub on them and if you don't put them in the right position, the bulb is simply not clocked right and won't make contact with the points in the socket.

Hmmm. That sounds like something I would do. Will check it on my lunch break! Thanks

Try the bulb on the other side to see if it works or not.
