I wonder why they blocked off the center air vents.

It looks like they covered the center bezel with leather. And it seems they couldn't cut around it for the vents. I'm not sure why. Maybe they had something else in mind but couldn't get it done before the photo shoot. The vents are visible in the concept art they showed.

My guess is that it was going to be for gauges. This is a common area to mount gauges with many platforms.

Done it many times my self.....

One of the best of the few that have had the fenders extended, top chopped, etc., etc.

and ZIGGY's artist concept.

Sometimes I REALLY miss the days when I had the shop.

I was the first back in 05 or 06 to install gauges in the PT's center vents.

The black gauges that I currently run are an Aeroforce on the left and an AFR gauge on the right.

The white faced gauges were the first installs and they were an analog clock on the left and a nitrous gauge on the right.

I cannot imagine why someone would spend the time and money to develop a new variant of any vehicle and then introduce it painted in a bizarre alien world camo finish with a non-complementary toned interior.
And the truck/SSR wannabe jus isn't either attractive OR tough looking.
This gets a double zero on my scale of desirability.

What did you do about the tubes going to the vents where the gauges are now, do you cut them back and then block them off with a cap of some kind? And didn't blocking off two of the four vent lines to the dash cut down or restrict the amount of air coming out for the a/c, or it just makes more air come out of the remaining vents? Looks good though and certainly a perfect area for the additional gauges, I would just be a little concerned about the functionality of such a mod.
