Default 05 turbo two codes-what to do?

Recently replaced output speed control because engine check light was on,trans was shifting a little jerky and occasionally going into limp mode.
Speedometer/ Odometer not working.

After replacing output speed control, check engine light went off, trans started shifting properly, but speedo/odometer still not working.

About 7 days ago check engine light came back on with codes P0455
and P0501.

Should I replace input speed sensor as well?
Would a bad input speed sensor cause the speedo/od to not work?

Default Re: 05 turbo two codes-what to do?

P0455 - EVAP Large Leak Detected Conditions:

Possible Causes:

1. EVAP purge solenoid is damaged or it has failed
2. Fuel tank cap is damaged, missing or the wrong part number
3. NVLD switch is damaged or it has failed

P0501 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Performance Conditions:

Possible Causes:

1. Check for any ABS/RWAL or TCM codes related to the VSS
2. VSS connector is damaged, open or it is shorted
3. VSS signal is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power
4. Incorrect tire circumference
5. ABS/RWAL controller, BCM, ECM, TCM or PCM has failed

I am suggesting you have two separate problems.
On the first problem I would check the Gas Cap.
On the second problem I would suggest checking the VSS connector. If that is okay I would try and borrow a scan tool that will read the TCM codes. Post back what you find.
