Default A few questions about finding my old car..

Hello all,
I don't know if I've told you this but, my deceased grandmother had a purple 07 touring PTC sedan. And I mean this thing had everything. Loaded with features. But probably the most Important was the memories it held.
So now onto why I'm making this post.
I want to find her PT. I don't want just any PT I want hers. I have the VIN, and a plate. I just don't know how to find it. The worst part is, and it's the part that makes me really mad: my aunt got it from the will, and I checked carfax and the last record as far as registration is in Indianapolis, IN an it had a Salvage Certificate/ Flood Damage Title Issued on July 24, 2015.
I know the Chances are slim, but it still is out there, I can feel it. Plus this car didn't even have 34,000 miles on it!
So how do I find it?
Thanks in advance
God bless
Eli

Are you not on speaking terms with your Aunt? It seems to me that you could ask her about it, what she did with it, who she sold it to?

Try Your Free Vehicle History Report - MotoSnoop

It's free and seems to show quit a bit based on the VIN. The most current registration should be there.

PS: There's a message on the bottom of the page that says Moto Snoop is unable to give full reports right now.

We've never spoken since she told me about the accident on New Years. I was quite p/o'ed when she told me the story. You don't drive through a foot of water and the engine get killed. It's just not logical when she was like "I drove INTO a foot of water." The car is wider than a foot. But anyways she sold it to insurance. Just my luck

I've found that this website is no longer accurate. I've recently checked my PT, and it reports that my vehicle has had 3 owners. That's not correct as I am the original and only owner it has had. Also, it used to report a lot of the service history of my PT, now all that is gone.

Won't work for me either. I wonder... Would the DMV know anything?

DMV will normally release current owner information, providing the current owner hasn't blocked the release of personal information, except to law enforcement. You normally have to fill out a form, stating why you want the information, and there may be a small fee.

You can get a one-time CarFax report and not have to buy a subscription.
