Default Ghost Cruiser

Hey love the forum, and have used it many times for many a maintenance tasks so thanks! I just wanted to see what you all think of my current situation. A while back I had some issues with the crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor on our 2007 base Party Time Cruiser. I replaced those suckers but have had issues for a while with the car not shifting gears properly. Like it will rev up to 3000rpms and keep going up before shifting into a higher gear. Sometimes it wont shift until I take my foot off the acceleration and pump it a few times. I was worried about this for a while but it seems to have gone away and now is working just fine? Occasionally I will start the car and it will sputter a lot and throw a flashing engine light. We will turn the car off immediately and give it a rest. About 5 minutes later I will turn it on and there will be absolutely no issues at all and runs just fine. Have any of you had this type of thing occur? Should I worry about it or just blow it off? Any thing I should check? Is there a ghost in the machine?

Thanks!

I find that when it is really cold, it doesn't like to shift - once my car is warmed up, no issues.

Have either of you guys ever changed the fluid and filter in your cars? If not, do that and use ONLY ATF+4 fluid. I use the Walmart brand instead of Mopar simply because it's less expensive and it DOES meet Chrysler specs. I changed mine with it back in the summer and noticed an improvement in the shifts. But, I wasn't having any problems with it, I just don't have a history on the car and wanted to do some routine maintenance.

Yes, I had my tranny flushed with ATF + 4.
Only happens when it's REALLY cold, like single digits & below.

You say you had it flushed, which usually doesn't include a pan drop with a filter replacement. Has the filter EVER been replaced? If it's been over 50,000 miles without a filter change, then you or someone you trust needs to drop the pan and change that filter. I hate to hear that someone had a transmission flushed and no filter change. Kind of like changing your oil without putting a fresh filter on. What's the point?

Yeah i actually just did that and the filter. Now the tranny seems to work well but the car will still occasionally spazz out and throw engine lights, then a few minutes later will be perfectly fine?
