Update on this. I took it to a shop that had a trans code reader. It said "shift failed after second gear" and "shift failed after "A" shift", whatever that means.
This is another case where codes don't help me. I have yet to have "codes" help me with any problem in any car. In any case, I'm dropping the car off tomorrow at the best/only tranny place in my car. I'll up date later. |

Well I got it checked and they said the tranny has internal damage. They will fix it for $1800. I don't have $1000 in the car yet. At this point, I don't plan on fixing it. I guess my grand daughter will drive it back and forth to school in second gear. Not sure if it will last long, but I don't really care. Kind of depressing.

Any chance you can find out what the P-code was for the transmission. Its really important to get the code number otherwise its just a general statement that does not help.
