Default Electrical issues

After the blizzard of 2016 my battery died. Well I changed it about a week ago and have had issues ever since. Airbag and brake lights came on in the cluster and my brake light and turn signal lamps light up when I use the brakes. Then yesterday then right front headlamp stop working. The last time the headlamp went out, I changed it and it still didn't work, long story short I had to get it reset. Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on.

Check the battery grounds on the inner fender behind the battery. Maybe they need a good cleaning and tightening.

The 2006 PT Cruisers are very popular for electrical problems related to the TIPM. You might want to have the TIPM checked out.

The link below gives an example of another member having problems with the headlight on a 2006 PT Cruiser.

I purchased an 06 a while back and hi beam would not work , only fix was new TIPM... Car lasted a little over a year, ran great, now it will not turn over unless I jump the starter directly, no time at the present to look more and to cold outside.

Hope your is just a burned out bulb.

Default Electrical System Differences

I have a question that I just cannot seem to find a definitive answer in a forum. I have two PTs ('02 and '05). A friend has an '07. He is having electrical issues with his car. We discovered that things are different from the first generation to the second. I know that the system is different, but has anyone ever found out WHY Chrysler made this big change from '05 to '06? If the first gen seemed to be operating fine (like my two), why the change to confuse things? Is the second gen better? Anyone have any ideas? We were just really curious.
