Default Dipped headlight indicator won't switch off 02 crd

I'm new to the whole cruiser thing.got an 02 crd 2.2(I understand this is just a UK/eu model)but my understanding is the interiors are the same. Anyway having sorted a solution for my ignition and having it running now(albeit very shaky on idle) I've noticed the dipped headlight indicator light stays on no matter what.
Putting indicator stalk on either left or right turns it off,as does pushing down with a little pressure but obviously when releasing it it comes back on.

I've had a look round the board and have seen there's an issue with fogs, doing the same, but this is dipped headlights I'm assuming same issue Internally.. Can it be repair with out buying a new stalk.
Cheers.

That's the signal for fogs here. The go off when on high beam. Do you might be fighting the same issue. In the tech section how to's. There are some switch repaire threads. Or just get a new one.

UK PT's use fuse #22 in the PDC under the hood. If you pull that, your fog lights won't work & light will go out. You can leave it like this or replace the switch to get fogs working again.

Front Fog Light Fuse

I figured as much after looking it up.had no idea where the fuse was so that helps. I'll have a crack at the repair thanks for the link, I'll also keep my eyes peeled for a new unit.thanks for the help guys.ill be glad when I can actually drive the bugger.

Thank you both

No I stripped it down and clean the contacts and reinforced the switch which had worn away as per the link further up and it worked spot on
