Exclamation What is leaking???

Hey everyone. I have a leak in my PT and I can't figure out what it is. The fluid is brownish not black. Looks like a gasket issue but i can't identify what the component is. Picture below. If you are orientated as if driving, the leaky part is between the front wheels, a bit left off center. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Very recent work to the car has been an oil change and engine mount replacement. Not sure if that could be helpful.

the picture is of the gear cover on the transaxle. That would seem to be trans fluid. If your oil isn't black. It could be a oil leak from the engine on that end. Or your trans fluid is dirty and that's leaking. Find the highest point that is wet. That should give you a location of the leak.

Thank you so much!!! Would you say the car is safe to drive? Not forever just to go to the garage?

No telling how long it's been leaking and you've been driving it like that anyway, right? So, yeah, drive it to the garage.

Pick up a dye kit comes with dye uv light and glasses.

Start with most likely place add dye and look for leaks.

Brown oil sounds like very old trans fluid so start there maybe.

If it is trans fluid the leak may be least of your problem.
