Default p0340 code. Question about the inner part of the sensor

Got a p0340 code. Car just died in parking lot. Changed out the sensor but no joy. Turned the car over but without the sensor on and the inner magnet isnt spinning. Would the timing belt have broken?

I'd pull the cover & check to be sure.

The belt had snapped. Will i have to check the heads for valve damage?

Take it apart and replace the belt then do a compression check before you start putting it all back together.

Maybe who changed the belt said they did????

Who did the previous replacement, what level of shop? What other parts were replaced at the same time? How many miles did the vehicle have on it when the first belt was replaced?

if you're going to replace all of the timing components and water pump, you should really go ahead and replace the center motor mount too.
