Default Looking for Wheel Opinions from fellow PT'ers

Bought my 05 mtx GT a few months ago with some ugly aftermarket 17" wheels on it. i took them off and put on some chrome 16" strandus wheels that my dad had laying around and some junk 225/50 tires. i thought id like the chrome look, but i hate this particular setup haha. waaaay too much side wall there. id really like to find a set of stock GT 17's, but theyre tough to come across locally, so ive given up on that. instead, ive decided to run a 16x7 wheel from the ACR SRT-4's.
i have pieced together a set for cheap because they needed refinished. since i wanted to polish them, it worked out great. unfortunately, i have come to the realization that ill never keep polished aluminum looking good on the daily and i dont think ill get clear coat to stick to polished aluminum. im now leaning towards painting them either close to the original bright silver or more of a charcoal, but im terrible at envisioning what things would look like without seeing it haha. ive never seen a set of these wheels on a PT, so i dont have anything to compare to. The ACR BBS wheels are wider and have a different offset than the stock SRT wheels, so they should look correct on the PT. ive seen the stock SRT wheels on PT's and the offset is wrong so they just look incorrect to me.
i picked up a nearly-new set of 205/55 tires for these BBS's out of the junkyard a few weeks ago, so no low-pro stuff for me. any suggestions on what color combo would look good on these wheels on this rig?
and please dont say white or green haha
thanks!

Semi-gloss charcoal or gloss black I think would look good.

Personally, I'd leave them the way they are. If you need to have them black or charcoal, I'd leave the outer rim silver like this....

I dig my "fast" rims, not the OEM GT's I miss so much but a decent sub.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

If you ever can't find a part at a local yard, like the GT wheels, you can always use Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
It has been a great resource for me for used factory parts.

Play around with plasti-dip - you just peel it off if you don't like it.

Tried it once..NEVER again at least on most wheels. You still need to mask the wheel as if you were painting it with conventional ways and it was PIA removing it. Most will lift and pull away but much of the little pieces remains and needs almost surgery to remove all of it.

How was your personal experience with it on wheels?

I wouldn't use it to be permanent, but just spray a little on to give you the opportunity to play around and experiment with different color combinations to see what you might like. Then when you find the color you like, then paint the wheels with conventional paint.
