Default New PTGT Cruiser owner looking for help in Canada

Hello everyone!
I've just bought myself a '06 PT GT Cruiser. I live in Ontario, Canada, and was just wondering if anybody knows where I could buy good front seat covers from (like, at Canadian Tire or somewhere else.)
Also, the car has 150,000km on it, and I see on the manual it's 168K to change the timing belt. I was just wondering how important a job this would be to do at 168K. Should I be doing it earlier, or are these known to be reliable up to 168K?

Thanks so much in advance!

Welcome from Whitby... I've researched covers myself but never reached a conclusion, I'd look through online reviews if I were you.
Yes the belt is important, and a big job ( 8 hrs labour usually equals anywhere in the vicinity of a grand ( 700 medium double doubles in Canadian speak )

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

Welcome from Campbellford Ontario. It's a good idea to not let the timing belt break. You will want to replace the water pump and possibly the belt tensioner. You can get it all in a packaged kit. I would also do any other preventative maintenance like cam seals etc while it is apart. I'd also inspect the motor mount that is mounted in the chassis as well as the torque struts.

Also in Canada... I got a very nice set of "neophrene" seat covers at ROCKAUTO.
( check the other section for a discount code...)

Quick shipping, and no duty or taxes were levied...
