I literally have to accelerate like a semi or let loose on the gas just before it switches into the next gear otherwise it stumble like its not catching..can somebody please help me on this matter or at least tell me where this mystery vacuum line is to the transmission??!! There are no vacuum lines to the transmission
You want to check your tubing and hoses on the engine for cracks.

Other things could make it stumble. Or are you talking that the rpms go up between shifts?
or is the engine loosing power.
old plugs, wrong plugs, gap to wide on plugs, old wires, coil miss fire, are you getting the engine service light?
any codes?

Fixed the plugs n new wires used champion brand and gaps are to spec..could be old wiring i'm not sure, the engine actually is not getting enough power..it wants to go but something is blocking it. I got the fuel system cleaned and that is not the problem either, it just stumbles before it switches to the next gear..i have to let off the gas so it can catch..

Is your engine light on? If so what are the engine trouble codes?

Get up under it and tap the catalytic converter with a rubber mallet or light hammer. If you hear crap rattling around in there, your cat con is getting clogged up. Replace it.

buy and install a cheap vacuum gauge to test for a plugged catalytic converter.
spark plug gapped ? secondary ignition coil wires tested for insulation leaks and resistances ? primary coil resistances ?
throttle position sensor within calibration ?
compression tested ?
timing belt installed properly ?
fuel system or injectors gummed out ? (try gum-out high mileage additive)

thank you everyone for your expertise in the matter and i believe it could be the catalytic converter...sounds legit lol but nevertheless keep your opinions coming and will update you all if this was the problem.

Oh and one more thing with the converter is it better to buy the one made for the pt cruiser?! I hear the universal ones you have to do alittle welding and that i don't want to do lol
