I have a friend whose parents had a line drawing of ET on the hood of their pickup and a dragon painted on the hood of their AMC Pacer (!). I always thought that kind of thing was neat (I am an artist myself).

Here's a thought: since replacing the hood on a PT doesn't look difficult, one could have a number of salvage hoods painted with different scenes and swap them out every once in a while when the mood (and spare time) struck.

I have a friend in the Tampa Bay club that spent a lot of money to have his PT custom pained front and rear. I don't have any really good photo's but here a couple.

There are others that carried the hood design all the way round their car.

As an artist I had a lot of fun designing and cutting the SOOO BIG icon that's my avatar and window graphic. That name was originally SOO BIG till the unavailability of a Florida vanity plate reading SOO BIG dictated the change. The Plum Crazy graphic was for my son's new Harley named Plum Crazy.

Attached are photos of the affore mentioned graphics and their accompanying vanity licenses.

Put your mind to a name for your PT, let me know, contact me and I'll try to design a graphic representing your chosen name. Gratis of course. Just for fun!

Dang, Price. I didn't realize until this morning that your design is a hand pinching the words. Very clever! Sorry I missed it until now, but in my own defense, I have been through two brain surgeries.
