Default Turbo GT Strut Bar Mounting Modification

I have read a lot of articles both on here and on the net about how a non turbo strut bar will require modification to the bracket on the passenger side to be able to work. Has anyone done this modification and documented it with pictures and instructions? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Install the bar the you should see what you need to do to reattach the bracket.

Yea, thanks. I was hoping that someone that had actually done the bracket modification would be able to show their, proven method before I take to cutting anything up. I see that Chromenut posted a tutorial on this way back in 07, but the photos won't open any longer, but I do have those written instructions.

Chromenut has passed. Most all his pictures are no longer around that were on his personal photo accounts.

I will see if I can find my brackets they have been packed away for a few years now. Although I the information posted is just as good?

I think Handy posted a few pics a few weeks ago of the bracket he cut.

I did it and I posted the photos in your other thread on this. The bar I was using was different than yours, but the pattern is the same.

On my GT, I used a little different bar so I started out a little more conservative.

But I ended up needing to cut a little more and had to lift the center turbo vacuum solenoid a little.

And here's the end result:
