Default 'Damp' Carpet - Condensation?

G'DAY! I missed you blokes, haven't been here since January. Life is full on, can't get a breath in sometimes. But I still have and love my girl, and my enthusiasm has come back now I'm on a month long break

I've checked for damp carpets before, but after a week of rain (in Australia, what!?) and no driving, I noticed the inside of the glove box was visibly wet and the contents were wet or damp.

Took a look in behind the glovebox, the big rusty frame it's mounted on made me sad. Checked the carpets, they felt, almost wet. Let's go with quite damp. I'm talking about the whole carpet, all areas of the car, but especially in 'dark' areas (under seats, under console, etc). Looked up under the steering wheel, lots of moisture on the metal parts.

I assumed it's just condensation, but it seemed pretty weird to me. But if it was a leak, why is the whole carpet, glovebox and more like that? Sunroof seems fine, headliner seems fine. Is there a way I can be absolutely sure it's NOT the drain lines?

Thoughts/queries/suggestions/welcomebacks?
ch33rs!

Do you have a sunroof? If so, the drains for it might be stopped up. Try cleaning them out. I'd use b compressed air.

Turn on heater and see if windows steam up?

Check coolant level.

Humidity in the dash often some from one of two place. One is a leaking heater core and the wetness will be antifreeze/coolant. The second will be a leaking seal around the windshield and the wetness will usually occur on after rain or when the car is washed. I've most often seen this on vehicles where the windshields have been replaced at some point in the past.

There's other sources too. But these are some likely causes.

How are the door seals? Worn, dirty or badly seated door seals can be a source of water intrusion, in addition to what the others have already mentioned. Although that doesn't explain wetness high up on the bulkhead
