Default Air Conditioniong Temps...

So no matter what speed the fan is set to or the outside temp the air never gets colder than 50 degrees at the vent. Have played with the charge a bit and it has no effect. Seems it starts to cool and then it cycles off.

Any ideas?

If you have to high a pressure or to low the system will shut off. Does it do the same thing while driving along the highway at a steady speed?

Where are you located? A/C temp differential is related to ambient temperature. Are you using recirc or open setting? Recirc will give the coldest performance.

At an ambient temp of 92 with the air set to recirc and max, system psi is 55/250.

Driving at highway produces same results.
