Default Went to the Local Chrysler Club picnic today

We took the Ratmobile to the CNYChryslers Club picnic today at Gillie Lake, near Camillus, NY. It was a beautiful day and I got to see some awesome Cruisers.

I was surprised to find out that the Sunset Boulevard has 'color changing' paint. It ranges from chocolate (think Hershey kiss) to pinkish purplish brown. Really awesome in person.

The paint is called "Sunset Crystal" and there were only 500 of these editions made for '08. You would think that they would have put the chrome grille accents and driving lights on it, though.

Love the Route 66! But it, too, needs the chrome grille accents and driving lights.

And Chrysler's reveal today is... the PT Cruiser Sunset Boulevard Edition - Autoblog

That's the first thing I noticed about them, and I agree. Both my '06 Limited Edition, and my wife's '04 Platinum edition have the chrome and fog lights. I think that 'makes' the car.

That is COOL about the paint!!

Nice to see that our PT's are still being lovingly cared for and taken to shows. I hope this continues for many, many years to come.
