Default Trying to find a particular rubber seal

When I had the new antenna put in in the left front wing panel, the hole where the wire threads through the car at the side, behind the wing panel appears to be missing hence this is what has been causing my leak on the passenger side of the car.

Any ideas where to find the part?

Never mind.

Grommets, that's the word. Now everything comes up.

19mm wiring grommet.

The grommet that you need comes with the antenna base and is on the cable.

The problem with trying to put the grommet on the cable now would be that you would have to remove the cable, insert the grommet and then feed the cable back through. You can reach your hand into the area of the fender where the cable goes through the body. I would try to find some moldable rope caulk that you could stuff in around the cable and body hole. It's not going to take much to fill the hole and stop the water infiltration and the caulk would be much easier than removing the cable.

Did you install the antenna or have someone else do it? Did you or they use and OEM antenna base? You might try looking and feeling on the section of the cable that you can still see between the fender, maybe the grommet is on the cable and they just forgot to slide it up and into the hole?

I had someone else install the electric antenna a while back now.

However, upon the recent swimming pool in the passenger side, an investigation found there was no grommet plugging the hole. Conclusion was water was just constantly seeping through into the passenger side. We get loads and loads of rain here. In fact most days of the year is rain.

I had to take the wire out and re thread it through the grommet. Hoping this fixes that problem.

Just had a temporary issue with the terminology. I was searching for plugs and antenna seals when the word I needed was 'grommets'.
