Default Window not working

Hey guys,

I replaced window motor and regulator on the rear drivers side. That's good

The rear passenger worked but sometimes I had to push the switch a few times. After a week of not using it, now it won't work.

I know the switch is sending power. I can feel the ac and everything bog down a bit when pushed.

What do you think it is? Motor? Brushes worn out? Can I buy just the brushes?

On the drivers side the magnet in the motor cracked.

Thanks

You will need the right tools to take the motor out. I just took the top and bottom nuts off the middle vertical bracket that had the motor attached to it to get access to the bolts holding the motor. Also you will need to tape the window in two places to hold it up to the top. This was on my hatchback PT Cruiser.

Ok. Do you know what special tools?

I worked on the higher side and mixed and matched parts to get it to work. But I remember thinking how the heck do I get the motor totally off.

Just small short sockets and box end wrenches that most mechanics have. There is not much space to work with. Sorry I don't remember the tool needed for the bolts holding the motor.
