Default Sway Bar Torque Specs

Okay, I have a quick question. Can anyone confirm that the 21 ft lb torque spec I found for the sway bar and end links is correct? Doesn't seem like much torque to me. I managed to get the sway bar bushing cover to 21 ft lb, no problem, but can't get the end links to torque without bulging the bushings, so I just tightened them until the bushing is the same diameter as the washer.

and (not that it really matters) but the correct way to install the bolts is with the bolt head on the bottom and the threads pointing up. this way when you go crazy and start launching curbs and boulders, you don't mess up the threads.

I tried installing the bolts with the thread up, rob, but the passenger side rubs the cv boot. So, I turned them around and the nut is on the bottom. I need to retry the torque on the end links now. I didn't realize they needed to be bearing a load before torquing. Thank you very much. BTW, the Mustang is off the table for now. NOT economical enough for Phil. Thanks for the input.
