Default Slow filling fuel tank

So another problem with the PT. It takes forever to fill. I can only pump 25 cents at a time. The pump stops and we squeeze the handle again. Pump stops. Tried different angles. Tried slow pumping. No change. Real pain if you want to pump $40.
Could it be the anti siphon valve? That sounds like the volume of the filler tube.
I don't think blocked vent as there is no venting sound upon removing the cap.
Anone point me in the right direction. Thanks

I wish it only cost me 25 cents a fill up....

You should inspect for is either or damaged or blocked filler hose valve or vent tube.

This has been brought up before on other threads with pictures posted of fuel tanks ans the parts mentioned.

You just need to use the search feature (good luck) or maybe another member can post the location of the threads.

So I did and search and found nothing.
Has anyone replaced the anti siphon valve in the filler tank? What does it involve?
How about removing the fuel tank? Any suggestions or time estimate would be helpful
It looks like it's accessible from right rear wheel well. Is that right?

The tank is very easy to remove and the fuel line unclips easily. Easier job than anything underhood, imo

Leave the anti siphon valves alone. It isn't your problem.

It's nice to see such a simple design on the fuel tank. Lol. I was wishing for a simple do this fix but no such luck.
I guess the tank comes out this weekend and lots farting around.
Thanks

this is not new I have read several post of other members with this issue
Was there a time it filled up correctly??? if so what has changed?? fuel filler hoses do not JUST KINK it don't happen something has changed to keep it from filling the correct way
if you pull the tank and all the hoses are open then it sounds like some how it is filling up with back pressure of some kind and causing the pump to kick off

nothing changes. i mean nothing was changed when it happened to me. i oddly enough believe it's spiders blocking vent tubes. it really does happen. read these:

also if you read the dates most articles on the subject are from this time of year.

i think that's why overfilling mine a few times fixed it. just a guess though, as im not a mechanic. so take this how you will

Nothing changed that I know of. Filled normal one day and bad the next. the temp has dropped and maybe something moved into a vent for a winter home
I'll pull tank, blow the lines at low pressure. See what happens from there.
Does anyone have a flow chart of lines on the tank? Easier to test if I know direction of checkvalves and lines
