Default Water pump woh's

I did the timing belt two months ago and guess what??
Yup of course the water pump when. I know I know
I should of did it when replacing the belt.
My question is, is there any way without taking
The belt and tensioner off??
Can I re use the tensioner?
And of coarse a bolt snapped this time
Disaster.

the answer you already know
the belt has to come off yes id say you can reuse all the parts but
the belt is over the wp so it has to be removed

The Bad News...

You're going to have to pull the TB off to replace water pump.

The Good News...

- You can reuse the tensioner and TB that was replaced two months ago.
- having done the job two months ago, every step you took should be fresh in your head, will probably take you half the time to do it this time around.

While you're messing around with that, check your center motor mount, cam and crankshaft seals. Might as well do them since you'll have it all apart.

Good Luck!!!

How much does the belt cost? How did the pump fail? If it seized or started spitting coolant on the belt, I would get another belt. Last mechanic that told me my belt was fine and he saved me the $18 (2.2 turbo I) ended up doing the belt for free within a month.

Yes. When I did the belt on my PT GT, I had to take off and reinstall timing components several times in order to get my valve train to work with my performance camshafts. I figured a few things out and also did a little experimenting.

The water pump has a "bullet" shaped pulley. If you remove motor mounts, mount platd and the dust cover, you can loosen off the tensioner (2003 and later). Next use something to "lock" the cam sprockets in place and to the timing belt. I used the largest paper binder clips I could get. Then you can slide the belt off the water pump. That should let you remove the water pump and install the new one.

There's a few other things you will need to do as though you were doing the total timing belt job. However, by doing this you can likely avoid have to remove the harmonic balancer and re-timing the belt.

I make no guarantees. But this is water I would attempt to do if I was in your situation. At best, you will save yourself several hours of work. And at worst, you will have to go ahead take everything loose like in a full timing job.

Got everything together running good
Water pump not leaking but....
There's water pouring out from the opposite side
Of the motor on the bottom somewhere.
It got dark out so I couldn't really see good.
It's along the firewall towards the bottom.
There's no hoses down there that I know of
Can it or is there any freeze out plugs?
It did overheat pretty good. I'm just so
Praying the block didn't crack.

Check the heater hoses and clamps?
