engine mounts

So both front engine mounts (passenger side) are broken. In Sweden they want over 200 USD for them. Looked on ebay and found them for like USD 10.50 / piece and after contacting the company he informed me that they don't know if they will fit the 2.0l version that I have since only 2.4l versions exist in the US. Does anybody know anything about this and where would you buy them?

Also need the lower radiator hose which also seems to be hard to find in Sweden, in fact a lot of things are hard to find to the PT in Sweden so if you have any tips on where to purchase parts in general to the PT would be great!

Re: engine mounts

Can you contact a dealership in Sweden and get the exact part numbers of the torque struts? Any dealership should have no problem with giving you that information.

Thanks, ordered the 2 mounts from the UK for GBP 85:- which was more expensive than in the US but to the US price comes an expensive postage and custom dutys and VAT and you name it.

$67.43 USD plus any shipping? I wonder what others in Sweden do, just pay the exorbitant local prices? Are there a lot of PT''s in Sweden?

Re: engine mounts

Not to many since they presented them as pretty unsafe when involved in an accident, which Swedes are very sensitive about. This makes it really hard to find spares if specific for the car, so filters, sparkplugs etc is no issue but the ignition cables from Bosch to this car where about 1/2 inch to long so I sent them back, also the lower radiator hose is a real problem to find.

I got the Energy Suspension replacement bushings that are poly urethane. Never will have to do it again.

Motor Mount Inserts - Chrysler PT Cruiser - 5.1105

Took a dremel and cleared out all the old rubber, keep the metal insert and then get 2 of the largest washer you can find.

bolt, washer through insert, then washer and bolt back in place.

Aren't those just supposed to fit through the holes in the rubber on the standard mount to stiffen them up?
