Default Need help

OK here's the run down. It's an 02. It had new gaskets from oil pan up. Put in a plug n play computer. Getting power to the coil pack. Replaced starter, cam sensor, crank sensor, put in new battery. Car will spin over will not start. Rpm gauge goes to 7 and stays there. Can spin over with the key but you have to be fast and then it stops. Any one have some suggestions? Timing belt is good and in time.

Did it run before you changed gaskets?
Did you happen to switch the coil harness connector with the cam sensor connector. Its been done before?

Will it hit with a shot of starting fluid? I'd try that. It MAY be fuel related.

It over heated and quite. No noise just died. Plugs are in proper places. But I will double check. Will not hit with starting fluid.

Is your engine light on?
If so what are the engine trouble codes?
As Chuzz posted are you getting 58 +/-5 PSI fuel presssure?
Are you getting spark at the plugs?
Where did you the computer replacement?

I would suggest checking the engine compression in all cylinders if you have spark, fuel pressure and no engine light. You might have warped the valves.

Put a new head on it. Got spark at the plugs. Compression is good.

One of the common issues after a job like this is that the ignition coil connector plug can get accidentally swapped with either the crankshaft position sensor plug or the camshaft sensor plug. I don't remember which at the moment, but this happens all the time because the plugs look the same.

You need four components for an engine to start and run. Air, fuel, spark and compression. You state you have two of the four, compression and spark. What does that tell you that you need to check now? When you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump buzz for a couple of seconds? If not, then you need to start there. I'd look at fuses first and then start with the wiring.

If so I would pull one of the spark plugs and post what it looks like.
