Default Engine sounds like Diesel on cold start - engine clacking until warm

I have a 2005 PT crusiser (non turbo) that sounds like a Diesel clacking away until the engine gets warm. Any ideas on a fix would be great.

It started around 90k miles and I have 110K on it now. Automatic.

Do you maintain the oil changes on time? Do you use any heavier oil than the recommended 5W30?

Timing belt has been changed (around 107,000). Yes, oil (5w 30) changed every 3k miles. It started drinking 1 quart of oil every thousand miles (replaced the PCV valve like some suggest).
When the timing belt was changed, I had them change the valve cover gasket - I don't see any oil drip.

Here is a thread that talks about a service bulletin to modifying the bearing caps:

"Help Identifying Source of Rattle Near Timing Belt"

Here is a link to a SB and images

A bit of info from another forum: "Engine Noise"

Mostly chatter about oil type.

Try to use some MARVEL MYSTERY oil in both your fuel and oil? Also use a quality fuel like Chevron or Shell for a while.

You mileage is sufficient enough that you may simply have normal varnish build up.
IMO Posting all those videos makes helping you all the more troublesome, I would at least try to post one of your own engine. If you do keep the camera in one position because moving it around on a video changes to many sounds from directional to none directional.

Timing belt noise (PT Cruiser specific) is another story. If it does make noise cold and quiets as the engine warms than there may be concern for worn, wearing abnormally or damaged parts.

Sounds like it's loose enough for a big shot of nitrous lol
I'm kidding. I have a 2.0 in my winter beater neon that sounds like a vw diesel at idle and it never goes away. This being my beater car, it doesn't bother me and it sees WOT pulls daily. Now my motor is different and I've never heard the 2.4 knock like this. On a side note, I'm getting what feels/sounds like valve float right before red line lol
