Default Refused to let me save the little Pt form the junkyard dog

I'm in despair today because I couldn't make a buy on a 2001 Limited Pt with only 76,000 miles and most likely a blown head gasket (has coolant in the oil). Car looked good in pictures although I didn't get a chance to see it in person but pics had good detail. I don't understand it, I told the man I work nights 2:30 to 11:00 pm with the Air Force and I couldn't just take off and come straight to his location this evening but I could come in the am tomorrow. He won't wait less than 24 hours and says he is selling to GW Pierce for 300 dollars even after I told him I would give him 500 myself. He won't have none of it. He said it belonged to his parents and all I can figure is they have given it to him since it got a bit overheated and he just wants to take the money and run it would appear. I'm guessing this is a young person, sure puzzles me. That's one less Pt that can roll on down the road. Destined to become the future radiator support bracket on a Kenworth, how sad. I tell you he just makesnocents!

Good news! I was able to get the Pt cruiser after all. Young man decided to sell it to me rather than it go to the Pt boneyard. I'll get some pics and post later. Hopefully another one spared to roll on down the road!

Glad you got your Cruiser
Did it look as good in person as it did in the pictures?

I'm very happy for you!

But ya' know, getting to be part of a super-cool and super-powerful Kenworth is not a bad second life for any car.

Yes, it did look great, especially the undercarriage. It spent most of it's life in Florida and recently made the trek to Indiana. Fortunately it hasn't been overloaded with winter seasoning like they do here in Indiana if you follow where I'm going. There are still pictures of the car on Indianapolis craigslist last time I checked of when it was for sale. It is a silver limited and it was listed Dec 5th, it has an american flag on the wall of the garage just behind the photo in the ad if you choose to look at it. I'm pleased with it but now comes the fun but I've been here before, jack it up let it down, jack it up let it down, jack it up let it down, well you get the picture for those of you that have done the timing belts and/or head gaskets before. Correction 1,350,001 are left or right depending on your point of view.

If you've got a Pt that was a Florida car you've got a twofer. Our roads are flat and a lot more gentle on suspensions and our weather is a lot kinder to the metal work. Good luck with your "new" PT!

Happy Ptin', ptprice
