Default '09 dreamcruiser billet grill, Value?

Looking at a wrecked 09 that has the billet grill and lower insert. Worth anything? It also has SRT 17 inch wheels, same question, value? Thanks. J

Don't know about the Grille or Wheels, but if possible I would interested in the door entry guards IF they are in good shape with not too much signs of corroding.

Hi Wingman55, I didn't look very close at the door guards. Right sides are toast. Left side looked ok from a distance. I didn't really look hard at them. If I get the car i'll report back. j

Well I still don't know how much the grill and wheels were worth, but they must be worth a bunch.
The car was at copart. It sold today for over a thousand bucks. In my estimation there was no logical way to repair this car (right side smashed clear into the seats. There must be a strong parts market for these cars.

Those 2009 Dream Cruisers are fairly rare and that OEM grill is almost impossible to come by used. But still, the 2009 Dream Cruisers I've seen online for sale don't seem to bring much more than any of the other late-model PT's.

But as a donor car, one of these would be worth it to someone with a straight-bodies 2nd Gen PT already. Besides the grill and wheels, you get an upgraded interior and possibly a lower mileage engine and tranny.

And sometimes at an auction, people get carried away and pay way more than something is actually worth. As in this case, IMHO.

Yeah I was thinking if I could get the car for 400 or so it would be worth it. You can buy a new fender for 90, I bought a straight used hood for 125. At 400 you could eventually make a few bucks. At a thousand you'd have to work pretty hard at it. Plus it had been a smokers car, so the interior was less than stellar.
There was an 08 on CL for 400 just the other day, needed a timing belt. Deals can be had, just not this time.

It's possible that they just bought it for the engine...if they needed or sold the engine/trans for $600-$800.

Yep for sure there was some value there. For me at a thousand bucks it would just take too long for a return. Now if I had an expired turbo car I probably would have bid. Near as I could tell the car had been through several auto auctions previous to ending up at copart. Might indicate a problem child.
