Default PT Cruiser startup headaches

We had to change out a leaking heater core inside of a 2001 PT cruiser, and now we put things together and tried to start it up. It doesn't start up, it seems to try to and then it just stops. After a few attempts it doesn't even try anymore. Any idea what it could be? We are missing days at work and everything seems to be falling apart, fast.

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have a OBDII Scan tool to get the engine trouble codes? Post the codes if there are any.

When I did my heater core a month ago, mine would not start. First issue was two plugs to the ignition and shift cable left unplugged Second issue was one of the large white connectors below the fuse panel by drivers left knee was not completely seated.

I would also check the large green connector behind the passenger side kick panel.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

All I know, is that if I try to turn the car on, some sound comes out of the driver side door. Nothing else happens. The sound lasts for a few seconds, then nothing. Pretty much every wire going to the dash has been removed so we could remove the metal to pull the heater box in and put it back.

Any ideas where to start? It fired up today, after pulling the side view mirror controls, so I'm pretty sure your right about it being a loose connection somewhere. It fires up, but needs a little gas and then dies right away. Not like it's choking or anything, just dead. I was able to keep it running about the 5th time by flooring the gas. The gas peddle seemed to have no effect once it was running, and it idled making sounds as if I were tapping the gas. Latency to the gas peddle? I backed it about 10 feet and pulled it forward into a parking space, I let it run for about 15 minutes. I then shut it off, but now it doesn't click, or anything when I try to start it up. Any advice on whatever else it could be?
